Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
2. Use of Our Website
You may use our website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:

  • Use our website for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purposes.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website, systems, or data.

  • Interfere with the security, availability, or proper operation of our website.

  • Introduce malicious software or engage in activities that could damage our website or its users.

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without authorization, except where permitted by law.

We reserve the right to take reasonable measures to protect our website and users against misuse.
3. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content published on our website and in our original materials, including articles, editorial content, photographs, graphics, designs, logos, branding, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Women in Commerce Media.
You may access and share links to our publicly available content for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided that you do not misrepresent the source or alter the content in a misleading way.
You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit our content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property to you.
If you believe that material on our website infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at hello@womenincommercemedia.com with details of the material and your concern.
4. Events and Registration
Women in Commerce Media organizes events intended to support professional connections, knowledge sharing, and engagement within the commerce and business community.
Our events are free to attend unless an individual event page expressly states otherwise.
Event registration is managed through Luma or another registration platform identified on the relevant event page.
When registering, you agree to provide accurate information and to update it if necessary. Registration is subject to the availability of places and any event-specific requirements communicated at the time of registration.
A registration confirmation does not guarantee admission if the registration was obtained through fraudulent activity, materially inaccurate information, or a breach of applicable event rules.
We may impose reasonable attendance limits or eligibility requirements for individual events, provided these are communicated appropriately and applied in accordance with applicable law.
5. Event Changes and Cancellations
We make reasonable efforts to deliver events as described. However, circumstances may require us to change an event's date, time, venue, speakers, format, or other details.
We reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel an event when reasonably necessary, including because of safety concerns, venue availability, speaker availability, operational issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where reasonably practicable, we will notify registered attendees of significant changes or cancellations using the contact information provided during registration or another appropriate communication channel.
Because our events are free, there are no ticket prices to refund. We are not responsible for attendees' travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses arising from an event change or cancellation, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
If an event is cancelled or changed, we will communicate any available alternatives where appropriate.
6. Cancellation by Attendees
If you can no longer attend an event, we ask that you cancel your registration through Luma or notify us at hello@womenincommercemedia.com as early as possible.
This helps us manage capacity and offer places to other interested attendees.
You are responsible for ensuring that your registration details are accurate and that you cancel a registration you no longer intend to use.
7. Attendee Conduct
We aim to provide a welcoming, professional, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone participating in our events.
Attendees are expected to:

  • Treat other participants, speakers, staff, and partners respectfully.

  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, and abusive conduct.

  • Respect the privacy and personal boundaries of other attendees.

  • Follow reasonable venue rules, safety instructions, and event-organizer directions.

  • Avoid disrupting presentations, discussions, networking activities, or other event proceedings.

  • Respect intellectual property and confidentiality where applicable.

We do not tolerate harassment, discriminatory conduct, or threatening behaviour at our events.
Where reasonably necessary and proportionate, we may issue a warning, remove an attendee from an event, refuse further participation, or restrict future attendance. We will act in accordance with applicable law and consider the circumstances of the situation.
Attendees remain responsible for their own conduct and for respecting the rights and safety of others.
8. Photography, Video, and Audio Recordings
Photography, video, and audio recordings may take place at some Women in Commerce Media events for documentation, reporting, or promotional purposes.
Where recording is planned, we will aim to provide appropriate advance notice and explain how the resulting material may be used.
The creation and publication of identifiable images, video, or audio recordings will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy, data protection, and image-rights laws.
Where consent is legally required, we will obtain it separately and appropriately. Agreeing to these Terms does not automatically constitute consent to the use of your image, voice, or likeness for promotional purposes.
If you have concerns about an image or recording, contact hello@womenincommercemedia.com. We will review your request and take appropriate action where required by law.
Attendees must respect the privacy and reasonable expectations of other participants when taking or sharing photographs, recordings, or other event content.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website and event pages may contain links to third-party websites and services, including Luma.
These third-party services operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, and rules.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your use of third-party services is subject to the applicable terms and policies of those services.
10. Privacy and Personal Information
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy:
https://www.womenincommercemedia.com
Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, the service providers involved, and how you may exercise your privacy rights.
Event registrations may be processed through Luma. Information submitted during registration may be accessible to us as the event organizer and processed by Luma in accordance with its applicable privacy practices.
Please review our Privacy Policy and Luma's privacy policy before providing personal information.
These Terms do not replace any consent or privacy notice required under applicable data protection law.
11. Website Content and Information
We aim to provide useful and accurate information on our website. However, content may contain errors, omissions, or information that becomes outdated.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, website content is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It should not be treated as professional, financial, legal, tax, or other individualized advice.
You are responsible for evaluating whether information is appropriate for your circumstances and for obtaining professional advice when needed.
We may update, modify, or remove website content at any time.
12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Women in Commerce Media will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or participation in our events where such losses could lawfully be excluded.
We do not guarantee that our website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
Participation in events is voluntary. Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings, decisions, and conduct, and should take reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded for death or personal injury, fraud, intentional misconduct, or other non-excludable liability.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer or other protective legislation.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for losses or reasonable costs directly caused by your unlawful conduct or material breach of these Terms.
Nothing in this section creates liability for losses for which you cannot lawfully be held responsible or removes any rights you have under applicable law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, events, services, or legal obligations.
The current version will be published on our website with an updated “Last updated” date.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain any necessary agreement before applying material changes to existing arrangements.
Changes will not remove mandatory legal rights or retroactively alter rights where prohibited by law.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Any invalid or unenforceable provision will be interpreted or replaced to the minimum extent necessary to achieve a lawful result consistent with its original purpose, where permitted.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Netherlands, subject to any mandatory laws and protections that apply to you.
Any dispute will be handled by a competent court in accordance with applicable jurisdiction rules.
Nothing in this section deprives consumers or other protected individuals of mandatory rights or access to courts that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.
